any info on the amount of leg room in the front seat

There isn't a lot of room. I'm 6'2" and feel a little cramped in a stock Max IV. You can redrill the four bolts that hold the seat in place and slide it back on the frame if you want though. You can also just install a single seat in the front. Some members have done that. You go from a four seater to a three seater but all three people have more room.

I am 6'5" and 240#, installed a tractor seat from TSC and it worked great, plenty of room.
