  • Front seat room max IV

The only reservation I have about buying a max IV is the front leg room.
Can the front seat be moved back with out to much trouble.
Idealy I think it would be good to be able to come up with an arrangement to move it to different positions depending on if you have passengers for the back.
    Thanks Scott

scott. there are studs welded to the frame . so you would have to cut them off and drill new holes . and bolt it in . max needs to look into that opion . for you tall guys . but it can be done. robbie

I ended up moving my seat back about 2" just enough leg room without breaking off the key in the switch all I did was re drill new holes in the seat frame .

I raised my front seat 1 1/2" and back 1 1/2" .Used square stock . What a difference. Lot more room comfy 2 big dude room now. Only a little cramp for the back seat if there are two in the back. Too bad for them they don't likey they can walk!

Replace the front bench with a suspension single seat and you'll be set for max room and comfort. Back rider(s) can throw their legs on either side so you can still carry more than a Max II. Worth the effort if you're tall/big or plan to put a lot of hours using your Max IV and you value maximum ride comfort.

i moved my seat back about 6" and had the wood underneath the front cushion enlarged and still was able to use the existing material....the upholstery shop just had to add a piece for the sides...it cost my $125 bucks....I know this mod may seem expensive to some but.......I made my seat for my comfort well worth the money

I dont own a Max. But the Hustler's front seating area was built for midgets. Im with you guys,... comfort! I had to relocate my battery, emergency lever and the shifter in order to drop a bucket seat down in that area. Im too old to bounce around in these things.
