Removing a link is almost never a good idea. When the chain has stretched so much that the adjusters can not take up the slack.the distance between the pins becomes so long that the chain will no longer fit the sprocket. It then quickly wrecks the sprockets and then they need replacing. You will have to do some maintenance but with a little luck you will have a reliable machine. If the sprockets are already worn out do not put a new chain on them and wreck the chain. Good luck.

Hi Scott!
Welcome to the site, and thank you for your service for all of us! We greatly appreciate it!!! If your T-20 was dry, make sure the bottom plunger seals are not leaking at the front of the tranny where the rods from the Laterals (controll sticks) connect. Just look for fluid now that you filled it up. If it is run dry, it can damage the bands and drums that engage Forward/reverse and skid steering, which is an expensive fix, the seals are pretty cheap. I'm with philipatmaxfour, don't remove links. New chain. If sprokets are worn, replace them too, but hopefully it's just the chain that's worn.Attex 295 Wild Wolf: sigpic My Runner

Hi Scott,
I am a Navy Vet. Search & Rescue Aircrew (Huey) with 3800 hrs. flight time.
I also am disabled, but not due to military service. I fell 33 ft. back in 1994. My scaffolding collapsed when I was working construction. I shattered my left ankle & was on crutches for 3 yrs. & now wear othodics in my footwear & use a cane for extended walking.
My wife bought me an Argo Conquest 8x8 and I LOVE her for doing so!! It has allowed me to be more of an outdoors/sportsman like I used to be! I have the snow plow, tracks, a welded frame & removable windshield & top for winter.
Maintenance should be kept up, just get hold of an owner's manual from the manufacturer & follow thier schedule.
Oh yeah, I am registered with several handicapped organizations here in Michigan to assist kids & adults that want to get out for fun, or hunting. I can carry up to 6 people, depending on the type of disability/challenge they have. I have helmets & life vests available, when needed.
I also have made the local law enforcment units & firefighting units near home of my machines unique abilities, along with my Navy training & skills!!
You won't find a better group of friendly/knowledgeable 6x6 & 8x8 owners than right here!!
Looking forward to meeting you in the very near future at one of the rallys.
