  • New member - Used Max II

Hello all. Had an Argo several years ago. Just picked up a used Max. Previous owner was a nice guy but not much of a maintainer. This site has been very helpful so far however, I do have a few questions. Are there zerks somewhere on the center inside bearings like on the front and back? If so how do you get to them? Is there a zerk on the rear bearing inside left? Just two more for now... Is there supposed to be some type of seal around the braided exhaust where it passes through the tub? It looks like it will take on water there. It looks as if the exhaust will be submerged when in the water. Does this work well? Sorry for the barrage.

Thanks Mirrocraft. All advice helps. Changed Trans Fluid today. Not an easy task but good for 50 hrs now. I am sure it had never been done before. I attempted to take one of the wheels off today and could not break the lugs. I don't think they have ever been off before. I need to get a impact wrench. The project continues!!

Yes depending on year and model but the zerks on mine face down and opposite of the front and back If so how do you get to them? With great difficulty Is there a zerk on the rear bearing inside left? Yes and very hard to access unless you have a contortionist grease fitting or raise the engine
