Axle straps

This photo was shared with me a while ago when I kept breaking things. When I shared the pics of my machine they all told me what I was missing!!!!! THE STRAPS so I couldn’t find them anywhere to buy so had my local machine shop make them. I brought him a bearing cage with a broken axle in it and the center to center measurements and we built mine a bit more heavier than the factory’s. The factory’s from what I’m told were made out of the same gauge steel as the frame, or close to it. The picture that I posted came from a member named wedge who is no longer with this forum, but it’s important for me to let anyone learning from this post that wedge and a couple others like Jim, gave me a world of knowledge on this machine. I broke it and they pointed me in the right direction to fix it. Hope this helps and I hope wedge doesn’t get mad for me posting his pic, but I’m shure he would help anyone too so that’s why I posted it. Next week I post my machines strap.

I have center to center numbers and will take pictures next week. Leaving tomorrow to see if I can convince a fish to jump on the boat for the weekend. Front to middle is 30.000 And middle to rear is 28.125

Axle straps?? I am pretty sure that Pdugas means track rails to tie axle extensions together to mount tracks on his Max iv. Pretty sure that Delduck had them made in a local machine shop.

That’s exactly what I was talking about . Delduck , would you by any chance have any pics of them ? Any other info. would be greatly appreciated.

Yes sir I had mine made and it helped the wallet out. The broken chains and axles were getting old

I obviously don’t have the correct name for them , but I’m referring to the thing that ties the axles together.
