Has anyone ever tried to change the steering levers on a max ? Relocated them or bent them I was trying to design something with hydraulics like an argo or a scrambler what do you think?

I'm not sure if anybody ever put a steering wheel in a Max before,but that's the first modification I did on my Max 11.It's a lot more practical and easy to steer than levers.Makes you wonder why in almost 40 years of making the Max,they haven't figure out how or thought of installing a steering wheel.

thats great how did you get the machine to go in reverse? and did you design it like a scrambler?

Yes, I would love to see photos as well. I'm looking for some mod on my MAXII that will allow a more comfortable sitting position. I feel too hunched over as is.

I've got a 2007 Max 11 with the T20,all you need is a steering wheel kit for a boat with the shortest cable available which is about 6' long,a few brackets,modification to one of the levers,modifications to the floor panel and a gas pedal which uses the throttle cable of the machine.I'll try to post some pics when I get a chance.The system works pretty good but I'll be making some improvements to it this winter.The difficulty in designing the system was the reverse but I manage to keep everything simple for now.I've only put about 40 hours on it with the steering wheel but it's easy to steer and it will be even better with a few more refinements.
