  • 1995 vs 2000 Max II

First time poster here , looking for help/info

I'm looking at two different Max II's

    One is a 95 , the other is a 2000

I was wondering if there is any differences in these two machines , upgrades etc .

Obviously the 2000 is a bit more money , just wondering if it might be worth the extra money.
I guess it would have a higher resale for being 5 years newer , but is there any other reasons .

    thanks

I have a 1995 Max II now. It has axles that are "through bolted" as opposed to the newer models that have "splined" axles. RI saw that splined axles were superior to the old style and thus made the manufacturing upgrade. Plenty of machines out there still going strong with the old style axles, but splined should last way longer.

I would buy the 2000 if the price was reasonable. My 1995 only had 86 hours on it and has not given me any trouble, but the splined axles alone are worth it in the long run. Just my .02.
