  • Three bearing axle Max ll

My brother bought this Max ll a few months ago. I got looking at the axle bearing arrangement and see this one has three bearings on the axle. I haven't seen any pictures of this style of set up. Could someone shed some light on it for me. I hope it's not obsolete but it looks like factory made. I don't know what year but it has disc brakes.

Twaynej- Nice. usually used with a plate ( girdle?) that joins all 3 axles for strength. Very expensive labour wise to install later, A nice option when you are ordering a new machine.

These are the bearing cage extenders that Recreatives sells for use with their tracks. It adds stability for the axle and helps to prevent the axle from bending.

Thanks so much for the info. Right now the upper half is removed engine out. Just checking everything over the chains were really sloppy so we have new ones already measured and cut. Just waiting for some chain adjustors to be fabricated by my friend. As you can see from the pictures they look a little rusty but it's mostly surface rest actually the bearing seem rather good of course with three bearings on one axle you're not going to get any up-and-down play. Sprockets also look good hopefully in a couple weeks will have it all back together. My brother loves to fur trap and I believe this little vehicle will really fit the bill.
I'll post some pictures when we get it all back together. Thanks for all the help I've learned so much on the site about proper maintenance for these machines I really appreciate all the helpful articles I've read. All yes almost forgot got these all greased up.
