Mid 90s Max IV with tracks. Was plowing cleaning up a small amount of snow in the driveway yesterday and all of a sudden heard the good old grinding noise 😮. Put her in reverse and limped back into the garage. Took the floor pans out and noticed the left (clutch side) drive chain was super loose and dragging on the belly pan. I didn’t get to poke around but it didn’t appear anything was broke and thatbside still pulled the machine was moving. Machine has 370hrs and it looks like the adjuster is maxed out. Maybe the chain finally just called it quits? I’m guessing a replacement is needed. Should I just to all chains at the same time since I’m in there? Or is there something else that would make this happen? Trans mounts shift on these much? It’s only an 18hp vanguard..
