Anyone ever rolled their max iv?

    Anyone ever rolled their max iv?

    Im trying to figure out if a rollcage is necessary. Mine does not have one, and I thought that I wanted one until I read about tree limbs coming through them and sticking people in the throat! What do you guys think? Has anyone on here really ever flipped one over?

    I don,t care to drive up VERY steep hills that might cause me to roll my Max IV over , and if I see a section on the trail ahead that might cause my Max IV to roll over side ways , I then drive another way. I use my roll bar mainly for the leverage that it gives me when I need to rock my Max IV side to side in the mud , but not for safety from roll overs.

      I havent rolled but have come close(well sure seem like it should of). I would have to say it wont flip unless you are driving it in a situation that would allow it to. If you dont have a roll bar and drive it knowing you dont I believe you would be fine. If you drive thinking it has a roll bar, it might just roll.

        I've flopped mine on it's side and if the mound of dirt I was on was higher it would have definitely rolled.

        Here is a link to the mudbog run at Philipsburg I came close to flopping it when I turn around. It's near the end of the video aroung 4:35 in. Granted I was going all out but just thought it was a good example of how quick it can happen in a Max IV.

          i have rooled mine on it';s side max II runing wide open and hooked a berm jest like micmac and they had to lift it off of me did not have the seat belt on knocked the wind out of me and hurt my back was sore for several weeks .

                stuff happens. If you are very careful and never make a mistake or misjudgement, you won't need one

                on the other hand.. usually when someone has a near miss, they consider a roll bar.
