Anyone know what size/part number the RIM would use? I need to order 6inner/6outer replacements.

    62mm, Recreatives still carries them.

Mike, are you guys getting the old RIM racer back together?

Yeah, I gotta have something to race against dad's springer for Ashtabula or Ledges (probably won't catch him) . Between that and the max II racer, it's in better shape and doesn't need to have a rotted frame replaced. I just gotta buy the parts and hopefully dad can get most of it together.

Jp, Is 62mm the same size for both inners and outers? We have a set of inner bearings so far. I think I'm going to contact that Buffalo Bearing place you guys keep talking about. My dad was about to order a set of outers locally until we found that my cousin had those on his maxII and the broke after a trip around the yard .

Also, If anyone has any spare RIM/ Max IV axles (if they are the same), please contact me. I think dad's going to have to cut the last center axle out since neither pb blaster nor flame can loosen up the sprocket. He's talking about just leaving it in and running with it but, the front of the frame needs some reconstructive surgery so, It might be smart to get it out.

          thanks,

          M

depends on the year my 98 has 62mm inners and 72mm outers. My 94 just has 62mm outers, at the momont. Try Buffalo bearings, they have a real good price. 13.00 for the 62mm triple sealed. Hope this helps

              tech,

I have a spare RIM axle if your dad needs one. Let me know if he needs it, and I can get it off to him...

I think our RIM is pre 1980's. so, it looks like I'll go with the 62mm outers.

Hydro, I sent you an IM

                Thanks and Thanks,
