Tub repair

I knew this was messed up when I bought it but looking for a repair. the PO had cut the tub for a bigger motor and the top of the fender cracked. I bought a piece of 1/4 inch plastic to glue to the top with some bolts, not sure best fix. any advice appreciated.

Perhaps using a plastic welder would work. Others here have spoken of it. The welder kits aren't very expensive.
I'vr never used one though, so I have no actual experience. But I hope it helps.
