tires

I love them and they are tough. Everybody agrees that they ride hard and knowledgeable guys like Dan Edwards say Vampires and others are better in some kinds of mud . The above 26ers don't fit a Maxii but the 24 inch Frontiers do fit according to Brandon Price.and they ride a lot better and are lighter. They are expensive, but might save the price of an elec. motor
Robbie has a Max IV. That machine is disgustingly fast in the water.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Hey guys, I called Richards Relics and asked him about a few tires. 812-944-1643
Whom ever I spoke with highly discouraged me from changing tires from anything but the factory Rawhide III or a knock off of them like they sale. The guy I spoke with said these tires are the best tires for this unit and work the best in all applications. The only problem I have is $60+ per tire. I know thats not a lot for a tire but when you can buy the "woolie booger knock off" ATV Parts, ATV Tires, Dirt Bike Parts & Motocross Gear - Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for $37.00 each that itdc1 brought up, its hard not to purchase those.
I think what I may do is just purchase two innertubes to put into my two bad tires and put my trolling motor on it and fly throught the water.

Tubes are not great in low pressure tires because of problems with the tire slipping around the rim and tearing the valve stem. good luck and best wishes
So do you suggest I get two new rawhides and keep going?

Yes, that is true. Goodyear is no longer going to make the Rawhide III's.
Edit: Here's a link to that discussion from a while back http://www.6x6world.com/forums/tire-...awhide-3s.html
I'm moving discussion on the end of the rawhides to that thread. Please continue that discussion there.Last edited by Mike; 11-12-2008, 06:22 PM.

**UPDATE**
The lady I spoke with said they are hard to get and somewhat scarse. Since they are, I would have to pay full price for them and shipping cost. They are being shipped in form St. Louis MO to Southeast Arkansas. The cost of them would be $95.00/tire. :OLast edited by MaximusII; 11-19-2008, 05:56 PM.
