  • MaxII factory tire sizes?

Hey guys, what is the factory wheel and tire size for the MaxII?

I would like to replace the tires I have but I am unsure what the factory wheel size is. I have been looking around and the KENDA GECKO SAND ATV TIRES 18x9x8 and the ITP Sand Stars look good. I think these tires would be a beast for swimming! What do you all think?

I know I have 8" rims and the ITP Sand Stars I have been looking at are 9'' or10" tires so they wont work. But the KENDA GECKO SAND ATV TIRES 18x9x8 will if the 9" width isnt too big. How wide is the factory MaxII wheels? I think I currently have Goodyear RawHide III but they are dry rotted.

Recreatives uses 8" rims (I belive they're also 8" wide) on all of their Max II models and you can get them with either a 21x11x8 tire or a 22x11x8 tire.

I spoke with Welcome to Richard's Relics Parts for Amphibious ATV's, and they advised me that the 22x11x8 was the factory size. It is an 8" rim with 11" wide tire and 22" tall.

Call the manufacturer direct if you are looking to upgrade your wheels and tires. They're good people over there and are very helpful. Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511

Have you contacted these people before? I dont really have the money to spend on upgrading. I just wanted something that I could use to get me by.

This is the correct information. They offer two sizes. Also, Richard is the last person I would call for tires when you can get them so much cheaper everywhere else.

As for "the people" that sixbysix4me recommended, that is the manufacturer. They are great people. That's who I would be calling first if you are looking for new parts.
