    Hello all!

Just joined the site and was wondering if there were any fellow Buffalo owners out there?

I noticed in the description for the forum the "infamous Buffalo" - is there something that I've missed out on with regards to the Buffalo?

Carrant, good to have you on board and I'm glad we have a Buffalo owner on here. How long have you owned it and do you have any pictures of it? Also, what do you mainly use it for, recreation, work, both?

As for the "infamous Buffalo" part on the forum, perhaps I got a little carried away when I wrote that. I just meant as far as Max's are concerned, the Buffalo Truck is the ultimate workhorse!

Again, good to have you on board!

      Mike,
Thanks for the welcome! I've had the Buffalo about 3yrs now. It's an incredible machine!

It's mostly used for recreation and work related recreation on our hunting land. We use it to haul gear around and sacks of soy, corn, and protein for the feeders.

I'm sure that I have some pictures of the Buffalo somewhere, I'll see if I can find them! I have pictures of us unloading from the 18 wheeler. There aren't any dealers in the Dallas area, so I ordered from RI and had it shipped to the house. I don't think I have any pictures of it in action, but I'll see what I can dig up.

I was a bit worried about the "infamous" as I haven't found many other Buffalo owners :-) and, more importantly, I've haven't found any reason to doubt the Buffalo! :-)

      Again, thanks for the welcome.

Chris, since you don't have any pictures of it in action, that sounds like a good excuse to go take some!

There is nothing wrong with the Buffalo. It is a great machine. The two drawbacks I experience are cost and weight. Where I live most people don't want to pay for a new Buffalo. They can be heavy and this will slow them down in the terrain we have. But for work and hauling I think they are great. I wish I had one.

                mxwillee,

Congrats on your new Buffalo! So now the burden of Buffalo pictures in action can be shared between us :-)

The Buffalo is great for hunting ( as I'm sure you've discovered ). The only drawback that I've found is lifting the animal into the bed of the truck. A couple of weeks ago a buddy of mine shot a 240# hog ( weight taken on a Moultrie game scale ). Lifting the body into the bed was a bit of work..

I've been pondering a way to use either a comealong or a small portable winch to pull the animal into the bed.

                  jerrynuss,

Yup the cost of the Buffalo is definately a limiting factor! I think mine weighs 1200lbs or so ( I think the packing slip from the delivery driver had the shipping weight at 1250lbs which I would guess included the pallet ).
