Thank you Johnboy , I'm getting excited too, that first real ride is going to be such a great feeling. I wish I had a GoPro so I could give you guys POV video, I might be able to rig something up with my cell phone holder and roll bar though. I'm starting to wonder if these projects are ever truly done, I'm already planning next phases lol.

Well my wife did a quick 10 minute shake down for me, this thing sounds good steers awesome and she said the red spring feels alot better than the green. Can't wait to order the rest of my seat materials so I can take it for a rip.

I hope so it sounds like a beast with the 450r exhaust. Got my seat stuff ordered so just waiting on that so I can finish up the important stuff. I was smart for a change and saved the middle seat belt from a truck I stripped for parts to convert my van to 4x4. I'm gonna putting a hurting on groundhogs this year now that this is all nice and fresh.

Patiently waiting on my seat materials, picking at little stuff. The suspense is killing me lol. I bought some universal atv brake light switches so I can have brake and reverse lights. I will run them in series so when both shifters are in reverse the light comes on and the other set will activate brake lights when both sticks are pulled back. It doesn't bother me that the brake lights will be on while reversing, the extra little bit of light might be a big help. After I finish my seat I can move on to how I'm going to be finishing out the rear body section where someone hacked it into a little truck type deal, and making up frame work to make to make the Geo tracker softop I have work. It appears it will be a close fit, but then again looks can be very deceiving. Hope everyone was loving this weather today in South Central pennsyltucky

hey dan...i like the lights setup your planning, good idea . and the rest of the fabrications will make it a nice custom machine. today was a replace a bad bearing day on the max 2 highboy . i threw a chain in the middle of my mud bog .. thought i was going to have to pull the track to get another chain on. snuck it on past the track and got myself back to the garage in 10 minutes . with my subframe design , changing bearings and chains are very easy . saves my back !! johnboy

That highboy is a sweet piece of machinery. I like how the upgrades you did make it easily serviceable. I am hoping I don't have any chain or bearing issues for a looong time.
The light setup with the switches is an idea I came up with because my son in law is a day dreamer and I wanna have every chance to avoid being rear ended if he gets distracted when we trail ride. He rides quads but I ain't prejudice.

Must've been a busy day at FedEx, request for delivery for a later date was sent, hoping my cushion comes tomorrow, the canvas I ordered is pretty nice though, pictures to come after it's done .

The saga continues. Need to redo the seat add a seat belt and most likely the roll bar setup will need redone as well. I guess that's all part of trial and error. It was a fun short ride but my legs can't hold me in the seat so I need to come up with something better. Everytime I brake I slide down in the seat, so instead of trying to copy my wheelchair seat dimensions and trying to keep it so I can have another rider, I'm going to try and use the seat from my broke down wheelchair and if will just be single seat. We will see. It was easier to get in and out of than I expected, I bang my head on the roll bar a bit, and the canvas I used is much slippier than I expected. Back to the drawing board.

dan ...maybe make some '' bumpers '' out of thick foam and covering and velcro them on the seat on each side of you to stop the sliding . just a thought . j.b.

I had considered cutting wedges and super77 them to the existing foam to create more of a bucket instead of a flat seat. But the wheelchair seat has manual reclibe, armrests , and a seatbelt. On the other site I think it was wfo suggested an anti submarine belt to help keep me back in the seat. I didn't get going fast enough on a turn to see how bad I slide side to side. But Everytime I put just a hair too much pressure back on the sticks too quick I slide forward. The wheel chair seat already has the angles built in too so it won't be any more copying. I will need to come up with a new bulkhead of sorts for noise and heat control and figure out different mounting for my gas tank. Nothing too major I was just hoping be done with the seating portion. Oh well I like to tinker. I will get something good figured out. I can always pull a trailer behind if kids or anyone else wants to ride along. Or just build small seats on either side of the center mounted wheelchair seat. There will be pictures it's just too rainy today.

Well guys, as much as it saddens me to do so, I am considering selling my max. I'm not sure there's any interest in my max, but with a nice upper it could easily be returned to stock configuration, but with the wrong gas tank. Some things came up and I am trying to return to the workforce when I get my new wheelchair at the end if this month, I am trying to fund a newer nicer more reliable van so I can always be at work on time. Anyone who's followed my build knows that everything is new or rebuilt except the body. I don't know what it's even worth but I know how much I have in it. If I get a reasonable offer even close to what I have in it i am sorry to say I'm going to have to let it go. Any interest I can be reached at dwiser83@gmail.com or text/leave a message at 717-340-3011. Thanks to all who've helped. If there's no interest I will eventually finish what I started just maybe not until summer. Thanks again to all who helped me along the way. If it sells I will eventually have another who knows maybe il be bouncing back before duck decides to keep his hustler. Also any extras I have will go with it , belts clutch springs chains extra Honda clone parts etc.

Thank you johnboy, it makes me sad to consider selling it, but in order to be able to stay in the work force I will need a newer better van. My Dodge is okay but has no head or leg room, and my Ford has been deemed unsafe by my body man after finding significant rust in the undercarriage. He says he can't in good conscience finish it and risk it going back on the toad, I can't blame him so it's getting parted out and scrapped. So prettyuch everything I have is for sale so I can put as big of a down payment as possible on a newer Ford or express/Savannah van. Something with a real frame underneath instead of unibody.

Well it happened and my heart is a little broken. But in a few months I will be on the prowl for a max iv or hustler. If I can get to it in time hopefully I can buy ducks before he decides to keep it. If not I'm saving three to four thousand and buying something ready to go. I found in the end you spend the money either way. hopefully the gentleman who bought it enjoys it.
