  • dependable fuel pump

Max II with a Honda 62o engine. I have been running an electric fuel pump for a Kawasaki Mule but they don't seem to last long. Any recommendations? I have heard the pulse are not dependable.
    Thanks

I would just use a pulse pump with that engine. Tank and carb are almost level in a Max, so you really don't need much. something like this https://www.walmart.com/ip/Briggs-an...e745e046d547a8

I run several machines with 2-2.5 psi electric fuel pumps. Any more fuel pressure than that will likely lead to a fuel related fire. Several members have found that out the hard way. The benefit of the electric pump is that most of the time it won't be necessary to use the choke unless it's really cold out. I've purchased several of the little pumps from ebay and amazon, and they have worked for years without failure. I also have my fuel line rigged with a hand pump bulb from an outboard fuel tank just in case I do lose a fuel pump, every minute or so a squeeze of the bulb will get enough fuel to keep you going. I also use the low psi fuel pumps on some old cars as well. They work well.

My Kohler 25hp runs fine on a pulse pump. The original lasted 15 years. If you buy a super cheap one, I guess you might have issues.

The new one I bought is this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
