Those tires look like they have good swim potential.

I'll use my 12x12 rims, but they say a 12x10 rim will work.
    Now to make some beadlocks.

Look what just showed up at the door today.

Now I HAVE to finish the portals. 28s won't fit on stock Max IV.

OK, so now I'm WAY past the $700 in the hole.

I'll get back to the portals when I finish the repairs from Busco Beach adventures.

Almost done with the secondary shafts.
I need to get another keyway cutter. These shafts are harder.
Next, poke some MORE holes in the boxes.

I finished machining the primary axles today.
My home made splined axles. Just 4 keyways cut in shaft.

I opted out of the six splines as the hubs would have been too difficult and expensive for me to do. 4 is enough.
Tomorrow I'll start on the secondary axles.

96 1/2"-20 bolts cut to length.

I finished broaching all the hubs and welded the sprockets to them, still waiting on 4 more sprockets. I'll send them out to have the teeth induction hardened.
Notice the new parking brake disks. They will be hydraulic actuated.

Next, cut keyways in 12 axle shafts.
    Mount bearings

162 holes poked, 144 more to go.
I think I need a new drill press after this. It really didn't like all the 2" holes I did.
Tomorrow, $278.00 worth of fasteners arrive. That's a lot of bolts. I must be nuts.

Can anyone tell me why my pictures are all sideways? when I load them to my PC they are right side up. Soon as I load them here, everything goes sideways.

    She's got legs

She's got legs, but no feet yet.
8 1/2 degree cant puts all the axles 30 inches apart. Good for a 28 inch tire. it's not possible to spread them further apart without having unequal length boxes. I'm too tired to do all that math.
Hopefully this weekend I'll get all the axles installed (12). My sprockets are back ordered. for a couple weeks.

I am speculating that you are not going to use chain inside the portals, instead you are going to have two or three gears hence no adjusters needed. If so, are you going to seal the boxes up and make it like a transfer case with oil (fill plug, drain plug)?
You will have to wait and see. They will be oil filled.
