  • No Engine ID need parts????????

I have a 1997 max 2 with a 14hp briggs & stratton vangaurd twin. I need a carburetor and fuel pump rebuild kit. I've called several dealers and searched online myself to find these kits. No luck !!!!. The engine ID tag is gone on the engine and without a engine model and spec number finding the kits my be impossible. I have the numbers of the carb but the dealers have told me that they mean nothing. Does anyone have a model and spec number for a max 2 with this setup and same engine?

    Carb #'s
    808064
    22-151
    66E
    6100

Replace the pump they are readily available cheap, check parts tree for 14hp parts, pretty much the same as the 16 with valves and carb being the biggest difference.
      sigpic

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

I realize that. I also need a carb rebuild kit. I'm hoping someone out there has a similar age max with the 14hp vangaurd. I will try the model and spec from there engine and see what that gets me.
