haha yeah. that little roll bar actually gives a LOT of room surprisingly! i was buckled in and everything, actually i may intentionally do it sometimes just for a cool video...well, maybe not really. i don't want to freak people out. i just flipped it back over and drove it off! MUCH safer than a 4 wheeler by far!
Glad you are okay. I am a firm believer in a roll bar or ROPS + seat belt or 3 point harness with submarine belt depending upon what vehicle or machine I am operating. This stuff saved my life over 35 years ago. Can't say the same thing about my ride. It died.
I happened to see a Max listed on ebay that had the roll bar cut off leaving a few inches of upright stubs because it interfered with his driving it in the woods. His choice to remove it but it could have been unbolted and pulled out eh?
Did you get the engine started okay after the incident and was there any damage to the Max?
engine started fine and no damage. actually the max ran better because the previous owner overfilled it with oil, so some excess drained out. i actually got it stuck twice in a creek after i flipped it back over! i think it's time to upgrade my 16hp max ii to a 27 hp max iv or something lol!
glad you are ok . the first time i rooled mine i was so glad i had a rool bar . robbie .
1999 max 2 18 b&s 22 tires custom . new max iv 23 k 26 i/n tires brown . ht cable promark winch . new toy 1972 attex st400 400ccjlo and she will be bad . ( the frog ) if it don't float with out you getting wet . don't bring it ! R.I.P sage rogers 4 11 09 . you can't fix stuped !!!!! raceone 3 .)
funny thing is that i used to go 4 wheeling with my friend all the time and used his mom's 4 wheeler which had a stiff suspension. everyone has rolled that thing but, and here i go and get a max like what i grew u with and decide to play wild with it and i go up a tree after climbing a hill 4 feet high! i want to do some jumps, etc and film it and hopefully post it on here soon.
Hey did you guys put your roll bar on yours or did it come with it? My MaxII does not have a roll bar nor seat belts. From the looks of Andy's joy rides, I think I want some.

haha. the factory can install them or any dealer can as well. or you can order a roll bar and install it yourself. if you do trail riding for more sporty purposes i'd recommend one. otherwise stay away from going up trees on the top of a hill

Nice advice lol. I will mostly use my MaxII for duck hunting purposes. I may do some trail riding but not nearly as much as I will use it for duck hunting.
I have a public land place that I hunt in Eastern Arkansas not too far away from Stuttgart if your familar with that place. Anyways, on this public land, its a free for all to get to the best duck hole. You can not enter the refuge until 4:30 AM and then once you do, its a foot race (or boat race if you get into the lake) to the duck hole. With me putting my 42 lb thrust trolling motor onto my MaxII NOBODY will beat me to the duck holes this year.
I am going to be KING of the Timber this year my friend.
cool. yeah i don't think you need to worry about a rollbar for that purpose unless you want it for the cool factor or if you intend to later add a windshield and enclosure top.

I would like to have a windshield and top on it. That would be cool. (or warm haha)
i know of people who have simply added some type of portable heater in them. and if you have the older style enclosure top the heat from the engine keeps it warm.
