  • A few updates to my 1997 Max II

I put all new chains on. Built new chain tensioners and installed. Installed a bilge pump. Fabricated a frame for a top I had purchased with 1-1/4" tubing. I had purchased a frame off of Ebay someone made from 3/4' conduit but it rattled so badly it drove me nuts. I already had a metal tub surround so the new frame is fastened to that. Turned out great and is very solid. Installed a nice bright LED lite for driving at night. You do not realize how weak the stock headlights are until you add an LED light bar. Pretty happy with the improvements. I put a few pictures of the work completed in my Album.

    Nice looking rig. Good job.
What it lacks in ground clearance it makes up for with traction.

Thanks guys. I used a Harbor Freight pipe bender to bend the 1-1/4" DOM. No kinks at all. Took it slow doing 1" increments. The top is for a Kawasaki 4000/4010 Classic Quad Gear. Pretty happy with the way everything turned out. Fortunately I live right by a lake that has some pretty good trails to ride on so I do not have to go far to actually use it.
