  • Max 6x6 chains

I have a max ii 6x6 and replaced all chains and tensioners and bearings, But I realized that the left front chain is a little closer to the tub than the front right chain, is this normal??? Also I realized there was a little scoring/ deep gouges under the one sprocket on the tub, could this be from the other owner not tightening the chains? I don’t think it is rubbing now with the chains tightened correctly. Thanks

Ben I don't have a max machine, but let me ask some questions for clarification. The one sprocket that is closer to the tub - is it closer to the floor, or bottom of the tub? If so, was it this way before you changed bearings, tensioners and chains? Look under the machine and see if the bottom of the tub is warped or otherwise bent upwards closer to the sprocket. As far as the deep scoring under the sprocket - if it is the result of a loose chain I would thing the scoring would run the length of the chain.

I think the tub is a little warped so I’m going to use a heat gun and a block of wood to push the tub down a little bit.
