Just bought a Max II, I have ?'s

I just bought a 96 Max II 500t 16hp
The body is in great shape, it has 22" rawhide III's , no winch though.
Anyone have a winch plate for sale?
I have a few questions about the chain tension system on this machine.
What were they thinking with that "ratchet tension slider" ??
It keeps bouncing loose. I see Route 6x6 has a roller adjuster retro fit kit for around $200. Anyone on here using that kit?
Does anyone else sell a similar upgrade?
Next issue,
This machine is very hard to shift from Fwd into neutral or reverse.
The shift linkage does not really have any excessive slack/slop in it.
What should I look for?

I too need a winch plate for a 92 MaxII. Welcome to Richard's Relics Parts for ATV's The deal with the shifter being hard to shift, I have the same problem. Richard's relics has a easy shifter. I am not sure of the price but you can check here. Welcome to Richard's Relics Parts for ATV's
