  • Max II Largest Tire

I have a 93 Max II and currently running the 22 inch Rawhides. Regardless of what some say, I have seen post of others running taller and wider? Tires on 8” rims.

My question is what is the biggest tire I can run regardless of make and tread design. Don’t plan on swimming too much.

    Thx Mike from Jackson Michigan

A stock MaxII has 25" center to center on the axles. Some people have found 25" tires for 9" rims that run small and re-molded the tub above the tires to avoid scrubbing. You can find larger tires (24"?) for the 8" rims, but I doubt the gains would be worth the drawbacks. Unfortunately I don't think you have any other practical choices unless you ditch the 8" rims. I went to great extremes to get to the 26" tires on mine and I wouldn't advise it to anyone else. I think the best way to get to your goal would be with tracks.

Glad to see you stop by Jim

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

You can run Argo 24s with no modifications, if you want to change rims there is an AT101 24x12x10 out there.
