Max 2 steering rod

I picked up another Max2 and the sticks seem to be rusted together. Move one they both move,,hard as hell to get them to move separately. We tried to get the shaft out from the bottom of the sticks but it wont budge. Any suggestions??

I had a machine like that. I ended up torching the tubes.

I was afraid of that.. we will cut them out in the morning. Thanks

I ended up cutting them out with a sawsall. We bent the sticks trying to get the shaft out, had to cut the bottoms off and weld new ones on.
