Chain sound clunking

When i engage the skid steering on my MAX IV,, there is a clunking sound. I’ve tightened chain but still have the clunking. Do I have a transmission problem?

not a max guy, but when I first bought my argo the right front inner bearing was gone and it would produce a distinct clunk everytimme I turned left. I was amazed the outer bearing though worn was still intact.

another option is jack the machine up off the wheels good and solid then run it in gear and see what and where sounds come from . maybe that will isolate it . good luck , let us know . j.b.

I found it by jacking it up on blocks and wiggling tires for movement.
