Hey guys and gals, I wanted to know if any if you all have experienced road walking with your MaxII? When I get my Max up to half throttle or faster, it seems to pull to one side more than the other. Any ideas why this occurs?

Id check what rdr mentioned and if still nothing jack it up and see if there is any more drag on one side or the other. Maybe possible bearing failure. Also some tires are differant diameters with same pressure so take a look at them and make sure there the same height. Not sure what tires you have but the older balloons where inflated going by circomferance rather then tire pressure for example.

I have 22x11x8" rawhide III on it. I do think it is a tire issue. 2 of my tires will not hold adaquate air. They stay enflated somewhat but you can push them nearly all the way down to the rim if you push on them with your foot. I tried to check the air pressure but the pressure was so low on all tires it would not register. I guess I need a low pressure guage. Thanks for your ideas. I guess I will find another guage and check it once I get the same pressures in all tires.

Max pulling to one side
You could temporarily swap all the left side tires to the right side and the rights to the left. If it pulls to the other side it would cofirm that it is the tires, and rule out any drive train problems."How deep of water does it float in?"

Similar problem
I had the same problem in my superchief. It can scare the heck out of you when they start to wander at about 30 mph on the street with cars parked on the sides.
There was a guy in the forum who was making liquid filled low pressure guages and attempting to sell them. He posted only in the last 3 weeks. I will hunt it down and post on it to bring it current.Famous last words: I swear honey... I am just going to change the tranny fluid. I won't tear this one apart...

Hey let me ask you all this. What would cause my Main Chain on the right side to have slack on the bottom side but not the top? Do you think I need to take a link out or what? Also, my chain tensioner will not adjust any more. It is pressed all the way down. (I said Main Chain earlier, I dont know if thats the correct term but I am sure someone knows what I am talking about.)

Chain, tires ,etc
To remove the slack on the bottom of the chain, adjust the chain with the tires of the ground. I usually jack up one side at a time so all 3 of the tires are off the ground to adjust that side.
When I check the tension, I rotate the tires 1/4 turn, check it again, rotate, check, etc. You will find that the tension changes each time. I adjust it so the tightest spot is not too tight. When I first started working on my Max, I used to wonder why all the chain tesions would change after a short ride, now I know that it changes a bit as the tires rotate.
I still suspect that your tires are causing the pull, as they seem to do with 98% of all pulling problems. Swaping all the tires would confirm it.
Pushing forward on both stickes a little when testing would make sure both sides of the trans are fully engaged. With both ouputs from the trans spinning at the same speed, and because all the left and right sprockets have the same number of teeth, the axles have to spin at the same rpm. Chain tension should not affect this unless they are so loose that they skip.
A taylor's cloth tape mesure can be used to chech that each tire's circumference is the same."How deep of water does it float in?"
