Max II trolling motor

I have a mount design in mind, but was wondering what shaft length you guys with Max IIs have on your trolling motors. In measuring, it looks like a 36" would work, but should I go with a 42" just to be extra certain? What works for you?

I think the 42" is better. I have a 46 lb thrust Minkota w/ a 42" shaft. If you reverse the shaft, you can mount it on the front of the car & steer it from the seat.

I have a 42 lbs thrust motor guide with a 42" shaft and it works great. I have mine mounted on the back of my MaxII. I have a post with pictures of it.

It looks like a 42" it is.

I have figured out a way to mount it on the front utilizing the fairlead plate on the winch. I will post a picture when I get it put together.
