What fluids do u use?

I just recently purchased a 94 Max and was wondering what type of fluids, oil and transmission, u guys prefer to use. Its a 16hp vanguard. Also let me know of any upgrades to a vanguard engine that you may have found beneficial, such as plugs, air filters, steel rods vs. aluminum etc. Thanks
