Runing around the desert heat wide open for 20 miles, pretty important. Putting around back east, in 85 degree shade, not as important. I think they're a good idea, esp if you don't have a good ducted fresh air intake.

The Model Citizen got a little upgrade today on her SS. The fan quit on her oil cooler so I just replaced the hole thing with a new fan and cooler. It's one of the best upgrades you can do for any
4-stroke.

Nice work, Whipper! Would you say that this mod would be a good one even for a stock Vanguard running at the goverened 3600 RPM limit, or is it more for you guys with the modified high reving motors?
