We have them here(Red Velvet Ants) but they are not that big......Thank God! They seem to have been transported in from Georgia. Haven't seem one in years though maybe they moved to Arizona..........

i went back to the vid of the so called tarantula and its actually a red velvet ant
or what we call in the southwest a bovine ant or bovine killer...they are very hard to squash and kill

Nice Shop there Whipper !! I love watching a build process on any thing!. It is a nice feeling knowing you have the abilities and knowledge to do this type of work with your hands on every piece going into it.My Father gave me these abilities and I am forever grateful to have them. I am not set up like your shop ,but a lot of magic has happened in my garage and my Fathers garage. Great conversations with awesome company and a lot of beer!! Good Luck on the Build and many more,I'll be waiting for updates. My Father liked to watch some of your videos with me and He'd laugh at what these machine could do!!
