IRON! Red sediments/ rocks typically have an abundance of iron in them, and it's the oxidation of the iron (rust!) that causes the red color. Beautiful scenery....

        • I've gone through this whole thread, and I have to say, I'M IMPRESSED! GREAT job on the re-work! I see this was started on '07. Was wondering if you guys are still making the kits, and if you knew what the current price is for a late 90's Max II. Thanks

                  She sure rides EVERTHING hard.
Kids and wives driving machines they don't have to fix is no good. I say its time to make her fix it herself. It will give her a little more respect for the machine and teach her a little responsibility. I made my son help fix the 3 tires he and my dad managed to pull off the bead at ashtabula this fall in an attempt to teach him a bit of responsibility. I know kids learn a bit better than wives, but Bridget has been around the hobby long enough to know damage done is damage that needs fixed. If she is anything like my wife. She probably denied the damage first, then blamed it on you.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

                          • Whipper, I read through this entire thread today and watched almost all of the videos that you and Bridget posted. I am in awe over the Max SS and think that it is one of the baddest AATVs I have ever seen. Love how it sounds too with the "new" engine and exhaust... sounds so much like a small block V8. Simply amazing performance and some really outstanding craftsmanship. Hats off to you!

Sent you a PM as well about kit pricing. Really loving these springers - especially in the Max II configuration. Can only imagine how well they must drive/feel. Can't wait to learn more about them and am hoping that you both are coming to Ashtabula. (?)

P.S. Love the "eyes" on the SS. Still laughing about how they look when they're rollin' around.
I have to have a Supacat. sigpic

                            • I don't know if Whipper and Bridget will make Ashtabula this year but you can bet that some of his springers will be there.
