  • Max II Rear Rack

I have attached pics of the rear rack I just finished. It is based off the great idea Pony Soldiers used for his rack (thanks!) I have a whopping $8.00 in it as I only purchased some new fasteners from TSC for easy removal to check fluids. The rest of the rack was made from scrap 1/2" water pipe and a few chain links for tie points. I glued the pins in the hull and placed a soft rubber bushing between the rack and body. This was done to keep the rack from rattling, rubbing the body and also keeps tension on the pins in hopes that they will not work loose. I think it will haul up to 4 bales of hay so it will save me from dragging around a wagon and let me get around a little better.

Almost as good as my pack horses but a lot easier to feed and catch.

    rear drop rack pictures

Hi Geojanitor- Heres acouple of drop rack pictures of my max-2. Just installed a 2 inch recevier hitch which really does well in hauling loads like anything wet or nasty that you dont want in the back of your cargo box. Hawghunter

Hawghunter, I like the rack. You don't have any up close photos of the 2" receiver you put on your max. Is it bolted/welded to the stock hitch plate or did you mount it another way? I would like to put a receiver on my max and I already have a hitch haul so thanks for passing along the idea.

Here are some pictures of my 2" hitch. It's good for pulling but I don't put alot of tongue weight on it because of how it mounts to the machine.
