  • Another bearing question

I just recieved my bearings from Buffalo bearing, and I have noticed on each bearing there is a little metal nipple? I was thinking maybe they were used to not allow the bearing to turn in the flanges? Anyone know what they are for? They dont quite fit into the flanges with them?

I believe I had a set or two of bearings with these little nubs on them too. I just took my Dremel tool and ground them down flush and didn't have any problems after that. You could also probably use a small grinding wheel or possibly a file. Good luck with it.
