  • Very Hot Cargo Surface on New Max II

    Hello

I'm a newbie with about 14 hours on my new Max II. I've noticed that my cargo area plastic is extremely hot after driving for a while and this is in winter conditions. It makes me wonder if I should put some spacers on top of this and then carry cargo on top of the spacers. Has anyone else noticed how hot it gets and is there a concern if you pack a lot of cargo on top of the cargo area that there will be less ability to disipate the heat build up.

I will add that I'm very pleased with the lower engine noise due to the exhaust system being inside the tub rather than outside on prior models.

I've definitely noticed it, and I won't put anything directly on the deck that I think would be affected by the heat. Other than that, I don't worry about it. I have no problems driving around with two 50lb bags of corn on there, garden tools, lumber, whatever. Firearms and archery equipment, however, will ride attached to the rails and away from the deck.
