  • Max IV and Factory Track Installation Manuals

    Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2001 Max IV and was wondering if there is anywhere to download a copy of the machine's owner's manual and an installation manual for the factory rubber tracks. I didn't see anything on the RI website.

    Thanks!

I just ordered a Max IV manual for $10 from MidWest ATV at:

Midwest ATV Category Listing - Manuals

I looked online for one I could download but never found one. Good luck.

    Take care,

    Peter

Thanks for the tip. Just bought a 2001 (I/V) and needed the owners manual. I was told mine is a 2001, but came without title. How can I determine year? Is there a "trick" with the i.d. #?

You can also get a manual through them as well.

The Max IV manual will not have track installation info as that is a separate manual.I know the routine pretty good by now and can help if you like. You need 21 inch tires should have bearing cage extensions, support rails and wheel extensions.Once these are in place you remove the front drive chains(Recommended by Hey Dan from RI who frequents this forum)Remove the middle wheels on each side.Jack it up and remove tire stem valves and let all air out. Then rig up a shop vac to suck the remaining air out until the tires collapse flat on four sides remove vacuum and reinstall tire stem valves so atmospheric pressure won't re-inflate tires round again.Do this to the middle tires you removed too.Put the tracks in place on one end then walk them on the other wheel.Re-Install the middle wheel and inflate tires to about 3 psi.You should be ready to go.It is quite a bit of work to set up the tracks but I can attest to the fact it will be the best time you ever spent!
