hello all im new to the 6x6 world and ive been reading this site for about a month now.i bought a 2001 max iv and after about 20 hours of running in the snow/mud here in michigan [with tracks on] i had the out side bearings go out. i have all the axels removed to replace them my question is there any upgrade for the bearings to get away from the eccentric style and maybe help keep water and mud from getting in to them? the job of getting the bearing lock collers and sprockets off has taken about a week and a half of my spare time: but mind over matter has them out intack, any part# or a place to get them would help.thanks

Bushwacker,
You might want to read my article about getting rid of the eccentric lock collar bearings.
You're machine will be a bit different but I think easier because of the splined axles and sprockets you won't have to cut the sprocket tubes to make room for the lock collar on the frame rail. With the inner part of the axle machined down to have a shoulder (the older ones like mine don't have it) you could get away with just using one lock collar against the outer frame rail. These collars can be ordered through McMaster-Carr
McMaster-Carr
As an added safety you could also have the inner end of the axle drilled and tapped to accept a bolt and washer to additionally locate the axle
