I've got a Max 11 with the 23hp and I bought a small heater about 6"x6" design for antifreeze and I ran the engine's oil through it.Run great up untill it gets really cold and it takes only a little bit of current from the crappy magneto.

What type of unit is it forced air like a car heater? Is there any problems pumping the oil through it? Any pictures would be appreciated. Thanks for the reply. Do you have a temp sensor and thermostate?

I was wondering if something like that would work. It looks like it does. Do you think a jeep heater would work?

What I got is a backseat heater design for vans, bus etc..that come in a variety of sizes and runs on antifreeze. The 23hp engine as oil lines that run to a small cooler.I ran the engine for a few seconds to see which line was the outlet and I just plum some hoses in the system.

I have a jeep heater that might work.

How well does it work? Does the engine oil pump circulate the oil good enough? How much oil does it take? Do you have a thermostate in the system or just free flowing?

          Any pictures.

          Thanks for the reply.
Everyone wants to be warm when its cold.

The system works good, but if you need a lot of heat disconnect the engine's oil cooler.I did not install a thermostat ,I just top off the oil and every thing just flows through.

              Thanks

I Have to try that. How long have you had your heater installed?
It seems like with that much oil the motor should run cooler in the summer too.
The Max II heats up a lot when its warm out.
Whats the coldest temp that you used it in?

Could you post a picture of your setup?
