help left side not turning

  • help left side not turning

    I just bought a max IV it was apart and i put it all back togather and drove it like for a few hours around the house but i stoped and reversed and stop then went forward again and the left side quit pulling the stick feels like its hooked up but it not engaging it shifts in all gears but no go on left side plz help

    does the left dide work in reverse?

      Check to make sure that the shift diamond on the left side of the tranny is engaging completely when you shift.
      DESTRUCTION is just a couple of vowels down the street from DISTRACTION

        not sure what you mean but shift diamond but i shifted it in reverse and pushed on the linkage and it seams to be in gear even if its in neutral shouldn't it still brake with the stick or am i wrong

          You will have no brakes in neutral. The shift diamond is the diamond shaped plate on the sides of the tranny, above the sprockets.
          DESTRUCTION is just a couple of vowels down the street from DISTRACTION

            easy fix found shift dimond popped out popped in with the pin lined up and now it works sweet
            but could some one explain to me how to adjust the bands with out the tool i read about using a screw driver and somthing about 5/16 but im kinda slow
