      ours57,

Big welcome to the amphibious forum. I like to keep about 3 pounds of air in each tire. This gives the best compromise for a decent ride and also good traction for the tires to grab hold of things. I like to take a good look at my chains for looseness before I ever go any where with my Max IV ,and lube them also. I also check my engine oil ,and then look for any loose bolts that might cause me problems later on in the swamp or mud. Try to Carry a spare belt ,chain master link and clip , an air compressor , a rachet strap to pull down around the tire ,and keep it seated against the bead,,while you air it up.

          ours57 ,

I use a chain ube called " PJ1 ". I bought it at a local motor cyle and atv dealer. It dries clear , and is specifically formulated not to fly off O-ring type chains.

            Bring the compressor

Hey I was out last week end forgot the compressor in the wives car.

I run about 2 lbs. air with Kawasaki rim max IV 26" tire
went through some unbelievable stuff got back with three flats one side.
nobody open on Sunday to get air. Drove 30 miles to get air. They all held ail thank God.

Won't forget the compressor again. Bring a tire patch kit too.

If you go in the water I would suggest greasing the outside bearings before and after your done. I do. You can see water come out sometimes.

Have a safe trip! Bring the other stuff suggested too can't be to prepared.

A winch might be nice to have. I used it once in 2 years easier than pushing
off a log. It's also good to pull the other guys out to. The 4 wheelers will thank you
