Older Max Questions

I was wondering if the older max's 1990-1999 can be upgraded to the newer machine specs. By upgrade, I mean the solid axles, bearings and motors.

Any help would be great.

Yes they can. Best bet is to call Recreatives Industries and talk to Jay or Dan about what needs to be done and the $$$ involved.

I'm doing it right now as well with 1990 MaxII. Solid Axles are dear. $170 a piece... I think I’m going to stick with my older hollow ones. Bearings and chains can be sourced relatively inexpensive; Brakes are not expensive either... Other than that there’s not a whole lot more to do... I have 16 Hp and I’m going to use it for the next little while. There is a shop local that sells 10Hp Diesels for around $500 that I may try.

$170 for axles? That's pretty darn steep. I wonder if Whipper can make them chaper than that. Argo axles are only $65 each.

Thats what i was told today over the phone from RC. I almost drove off the road..!!!

Thanks for all the feedback.. I used to own a new 2000 max II and sold it. Worst thing I ever did. Now I am looking for another.
