  • price for my max II

hey guys. I have had my max II home for a while now. I have a lot of trouble starting it when I want to ride it, and when I do get it started it seems to always die and wont start again, once it warms up it runs great. but I have got mad so many times when I just want to move it somewhere.I was thinking about selling it and focusing on the scrambler. the max is really too much for me. I have come close to biting the dust a few times.
any idea what to ask for the maxx II... it is a 72 jlo 340-t t-20 trans. new gas line , tank cleaned out , new filter, new belt, new battery, and all tires hold air, one of them is a little rotten , but 5 look decent. I didnt replace the chains, but they look good and were not rusted, I oiled them and havent had any issues.
also I havent had it in the water, it did have a small crack on the tub, but it has been repaired.
no treally sure if I am going to sell it just yet, but would like to know what it is worth . thanks Jeff

Just a heads up before you consider selling it. I got frustrated with a lot of 2 stroke Maxes that I had in the past. GET RID OF THE TILLOTSON OR WALBORO CARBURETOR AND REPLACE IT WITH A RELIABLE MIKUNI. Those Walboro and Tillotsons seem to be nothing but trouble, and a Mikuni is a great carb with parts readily available for it.

thanks I will check into that , it does seem like a fuel issue. floods so easy and I think that is a lot of the issue. I would love to keep it, but I spend more time trying to start it than riding.. thanks for the info..

Glad to help. I know how frustrating that can be. Maybe someone can chime in about what size Mikuni you'd want to use on the JLO 340. I'd say a 30 or 32mm would make that 340 run very well.
