Hello, I may be interested in the TA-440B if the other folks are not interested. Does it have electric start? Do you have exhaust parts to use on Max II?

Dumb question: What is a big Max? Is it just another name for a Max II?

I probably made those tracks, and installed the engine, rofl! And the 440 is a screaming engine- you might want to replace the rubber engine mounts though, they get brittle over time.

I have a very nice and complete Kawasaki TA-440B (46 HP I believe). It has everything on it from the clutch to the carb. The TA-440B has a CDI ignition instead of points and it's 8 more horsepower that the TA-440A (the version that was used in the Max II and Max IV). I'd be willing to sell the entire motor for $200 including a parts clutch (Comet 94C) if you're interested in it.

You can buy parts directly from the manufacturer for less than Route6x6. He just buys parts from Recreatives and then resells them. The folks over at Recreatives are so much more helpful too. Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511 You can call them and give them your serial number and they'll tell you the year and other information about your machine. Also, you can find parts by putting an ad in the Wanted section of 6x6World.

    fired it up today!

so i drained the old fuel, disassembled and cleaned the carb, through some new spark plugs in it and walla! actually runs pretty good! then i decided maybe i should test drive my 1st 6x6...what a blast once you get the hang of it!! now that i know it runs and got some before pics i guess its time to tear it down and clean/paint/reseal/rewire..etc!!
is a 22" really the biggest tire that will fit on a maxII? im going to keep the ones i have to run with the tracks in the snow but would love a bigger set of wheels/tires to play in the mud and water with!
