steering adjustment

I just got a 97 max and I have one big problem,my belly.When pulling back on the steering levers I need more room between me and the levers.Can they be adjusted to lean more forward so I won't have to pull them back against me.They look like they can be adjusted by loosening lock down nut on rods that connect to steering levers and unhooking rod ends from levers and adjust them out.I thought I'd ask before I screw something up.I guess I could just lose 50 lbs but that aint gona happen.I would also like to know where to get a owners manuel for this thing.

I had that very same problem with the MAX. So I got an Argo.
