    Hi:
Are you shure it's not a filter? Is it on the Tank or motor side? That looks like the Electric pump on Mogman's Max, and I would think it's a low PSI pump, no more than a pulse pump, and so wouldn't use a regulator, but I'm not sure. What is the issue with it, no/weak fuel flow?

6x6 is right. It should have an arrow on it showing the flow direction which should be coming from the tank to the motor. The filter should be in front of the pump and if you don't have the arrow on the filter, take it off, cover one end with a paper towel and blow through it. The correct way will flow freely. The wrong way will give you a lot of resistance.

You probably don't need the electric pump if your engine has a fuel pump. I would keep the electric fuel pump but hook it up to a switch and only use it if you need it for start up or hill climbs. I added an auxiliary electric fuel pump on my Argo. I only turn it on for cold start ups and steep hill climbs.
