i have both IIand IV my II has been through hell and back and have yet to knock a hole in the bottom . it's tuff. robbieOriginally posted by Eldon View PostI was told that there never was a skidplate for a MaxII.RI's explanation was allegedly that the MaxII is not heavy enough to need one.(My jury is still out on this.) I believe though that the Max IV has a two piece skid plate one at each end.I don't know if the pieces join in center underneath or whether there is an unprotected section.Argo is clearly ahead of the game on this one as they have a skidplate one piece available on all models and standard on many as well.

The "plate" on the Max in my shop is a 2 piece and does not join. It only covers the lower front and rear corners of the tub.

You can get a skid plate for a Max IV from the factory. I don't believe the Max II's have ever had one? Hydromike here on this site made one for his Attex and has lots of pictures in the gallery of what to do.
Edit: Here's the link to Mike's skid plate post: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/attex...hem-alive.htmlLast edited by Mike; 07-15-2009, 09:56 PM.
