  • Jack shaft help please...MaxII

Have taken my Max II apart, my question is, on the jack shaft(gear set) are there supposed to be brass bushings like the axles, if so any one know the inside/outside diameter/ length .
This is a early seveties MaxII.
anyone with a machine around this time frame post a picture of the jack shaft (or link me)?? Please, please
    Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of pictures in this article: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/aatv-...tallation.html

I think page 4 might have the best pictures showing the jackshaft.

Thanks for the link Mike, those pics actually answered other questions on how things are suppose to be ie the solenoid is on the frame not mounted to the tub.
Unfortunaly is does not answer my question..
Do the Jack gear have brass bushings like my axles do...

If you're in anchorage, you could look at mine.

Thank you for the reply Guy.
I think unless the gear is out would be the only way to see, can't tell with mine.
On my axles it was down to pretty thin brass vanier
I'm in the valley(not valley trash)

You can always just pick up the phone and call Recreative Industries. They are very helpful even if you just have a question you need to ask. Ask for the parts department. Amphibious Six-Wheel Drive All-Terrain Vehicles: MaxATVs - Call 1-800-255-2511

My 76 big max used exactly the same brass bushing as the axles.
