    Motor Change

    WELL I TOOK MY BIG MAX II TO DOCTOR DONS MAN CAVE OVER THE WEEK END TO CHANGE OUT THE OLE 2 STROKE FOR A 4STROKE.AND HE HAD THE KAWASAKI OUT BEFORE I LEFT AND HAD THE SHINY NEW POWER MAX 16 SETTING IN PLACE.AND I MUST SAY IT LOOKED GOOD IN THERE. THANKS DON I KNOW YOUR RIGHT ROBBIE

      Sweet!!! As rdr stated, he is the man!!!

      Did you over ride the governor? I didnt at first and then one day I did and holy cow its like twice the get up. I mean you can over rev but even if you rev it to where it was it revs quicker. The stock throttle linkage dont travel as far as the throttle need to travel to run the governor. They way I did it the governer is still there and is actually used to bring the throttle cable back so I dont have a return spring either and the throttle is sooooo easy to use.

      This is what I did.

        well Larry i haven't run it much because of the two stroke and where we live but i know what you are saying i have a golf cart and i put a cable tie on the Governor and went from 12 mph to almost 24.it has a rev limiter on it though.i can not wait to get it back and ride it though.i am sure the doc will do a good job he is good at what he dose.

          It wasnt just the top end, I mean it got there quicker. Same thing with kestian hustler with the powermax governor override. Crazy colts 13hp honda clone too. Its like the stock linkage doesnt open it up enough. Your right though, Im sure the Doc will fix her up right!!!

                Update On Motor Change

                WELL GOT AN E-MAIL FROM THE DOC TODAY AND LOOKS LIKE THE MAX WILL LIVE.AND I MUST SAY DON HAS DONE AN OUTSTANDING JOB ON MY MAX.THE MOTOR LOOKS LIKE IT GREW IN THERE. NOW IT'S IN THE SHAKE DOWN STAGE WHERE DON GETS TO PLAY AND FIND OUT IF IT WAS WORTH THE CHANGE.HAVE FUN DON .
