  • Max II Rear Cargo Frame

My Max II, is what I would guess, a base model. Just plane with no roll bar, windshield, or cargo frame.

I have been building a angle iron band to add a roll bar and other accessories in the future, and I kind of want to extend my cargo area in the back.
My question is how is the factory rear cargo frame mounted to body and what is it made from? 3/4" round tube? I'm figuring that bolts and washers hold it down, maybe a plate that spans to a coulpe of attachment points? Would anybody suggest any improvements that the factory frame needs?

The factory rack on my Max II is tubing, and it is just bolted to the top edges of the rear body. The weight of cargo rests on the plastic of the body, and there is no additional supporting structure. The rack itself serves more to contain the load than anything else.
