yes it just bolts through the plastic but there is a steel mount that the winch goes on first , then the steel mount and winch are bolted together through the body, i've never cracked or torn the body so far, so it is deff. strong plastic , and ive pulled out a few BIG machines with itHe who has not cruised the back country in a 6x6 , has not lived life to it's fullest

wow. thats pretty interested haha. I figured there would be some type of metal bracket that would hold it on. Thanks robinhood but you seem to have quite a bit of knowledge on these machines...This is off topic but i dont wanna get anyone upset and start a new thread. I have the max ii. Its got 22x11x8's on it. What do you guys recommend for tires. I need something for deep mud and a little river. I dont want to upgrade the rims any bigger or anything but would i be able to make the tire upgrade be like 22x12x8 or anything? THANKS!

Works very well. There is a peice of angle iron behind the tub.Attached Files

on both my attex, and max the winches are mounted on an angle iron body band which is bolted through the body seam. at Busco we pulled a little of everything with them (even the big argos) with no issues. the band is somewhat tedious to make, but it provides a great mounting point for the winch, roll cage, cargo rack etc...

I bought my mount from Richard's Relics. It is an angle mount on the outside and a huge steel plate that mounds on the inside behind the fuel tank (on a IV). I rounded over the edges with a grinder before I mounted it to prevent it cutting into the body.
